Dinner Speaker: Glynn Williams, Chief Executive Officer, Silixa

Glynn has over 40 years’ experience in the field of data acquisition in the mining, energy, and environmental services industries, having held various senior management level positions around the globe. After his early employment in the British coalfields and then with major oil and gas service companies specialising in well testing, he co-founded Sensa, an early pioneer of fibre optic temperature sensing solutions, backed by European private equity investor 3i and North America Lime Rock Partners. After the sale of Sensa to Schlumberger in 2001, he acted as an independent director on a number of private equity backed emerging technology businesses and then became full-time chief executive of Silixa in 2017.

He holds a BSc in Mining Engineering from the University of Wales and is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and a Fellow of the Institute of Directors.

For delegates wanting to expand their wine knowledge, or educate their palates, private wine tasting experiences can be arranged directly with the centre, and their Wine Discovery Journey, located on the centre’s first floor is open to the public and gives an introduction to the Australian wine industry from the vine to bottle through a series of interactive and virtual exhibits.
